2011 Summary - not what I wanted

Well 2011 didn't quite go as planned with getting into shape and losing weight. 2012 will be better, one can hope.   I am hoping to start again January 1.  I will post my weight (yikes!) I am going to begin using the Clean Eating Magazine 14 day menus just easy for planning will sub out food I don't like for food I do. I was hoping to have a gym at work starting in January but it has been postponed until September So it is up to me to get at exercising once I get home.
Not sure how many of you are following me any more on here but I welcome you to join me.
My goal for January is to lose 4lbs
walk 1 mile everyday
strength train 3 times a week
Eat clean follow - the plan

Trying this one more time

Okay, the cooler weather has set in - hmmm I think I missed summer, haha, it was hot and humid in Ottawa when I went to help and attend daughter's wedding, and of course that is when Calgary had summer lol.
Hot and humid was almost too much.  No fan or air conditioning in the small apartment, no cross draft and the balcony door screen was non-functional, so the cats could get out there and not safe for them.
I am slowly getting my plans together to eat cleaner and to exercise.  I am hoping I can make myself go downstairs and walk on treadmill at for 30  minutes to an hour a day.
This week will not do so well as, I haven't prepared any thing for the week.  I know that prep work on the weekend is the key, I just seem to have so much other stuff do that it gets put off until too late.
Organization at home has never been a strong point for me.  I think I am going to start and finish one task per day.
I will weigh in Monday morning and start from there.

July 4 update - Happy July 4th to my American friends

Well weighed myself this morning and was at 137lbs. What would it had been if I could have been a little more proactive on the exercise?
Spent a good amount of time preparing meals and snack for the week.  Still need to grocery shop for when the kids are here. Wednesday night might have to be the night.
Tonight I have to get my blood work done.  I am pretty sure I have a Candida infestation (I know TMI), but not the normal of what you think of  Candida.  So blood work and more doctors appointments.  I am hoping the clean eating will help, May have to cut out the fruit as well, (natural sugars)
yesterday I didn't quite stick to meal plan for the day, but think I did okay
breakfast: :Since I got up late -
1 hard boiled egg and a banana
Lunch -
Grilled chicken breast with spinach and blueberries and cucumber - quite yummy
snack - the protein pancakes lol several grilled pepper strips (I was prepping the weeks food)
Supper - more protein pancakes
Snack - banana and 2 rice cakes with almond butter.

Today
Breakfast - protein shake (yogurt, blueberries, banana, almond mild and hemp protein powder)
snack - oatmeal and an hard boiled egg (I forgot to put the egg in the oatmeal when I cooked it)
Lunch turkey breast (small piece) and steamed bok choy and some pepper strips
Snack - chicken breast and more peppers (might be something else, just can't remember)
Supper - Salmon and broccoli

July 1, Starting the 2 Week Cooler 1 Challenge

I am joining the  The Gracious Pantry in a  2 week cleaning eating challenge
based on Tosca Reno Clean Eating cooler 1.  Of course I have lent out both my copies of her book, and now need the reference.  Oh well, I get by using Tiffany's meal plan, for next week, the week after that Sheena and Matt will be here. Time is flying soon it will be September.  Okay will part of this challenge is to exercise as well, so I am off to find a piece for my Wii, then either get it hooked up correctly or use the Xbox.

Tuesday May 31

Today is again a fresh start. The wedding invitations are in the mail..... Please let them get delivered.
Today of course, I need to grocery shop, so no plan for breakfast or lunch.
Tonight my list of things to accomplish
exercise - treadmill or dog walk and Xbox
vacuum the house
try to make the menu plan, grocery shop tomorrow
take all the recycling back so the yard looks a little better.
Get some sleep

Finally can post

Blogger was giving me endless log-in loop.  Cleared cash and updated Chrome, hopefully good to go.
Monday, I am re-starting the clean eating and exercise. Hopefully the water in my basement will have stopped by then and I can use the treadmill.  If not I will use the biggest loser for the xbox.  Still haven't gotten the Wii hooked up, now can't find the sensor thing.
Sometime I think life throws things at me just to see if I will give up.  Goal is 2-5lbs next week.  Fingers crossed.

Still Fighting my Inner Demons of Laziness

Stressed out, I think that is what I am.  Can't seem to focus on anything. I hope that this will pass once DH gets at least one or two pay cheques in the bank, and we are not cutting it so close.  I ate a whole freaking blueberry pie last night. Talk about emotional eating.  I knew I should have not bought the pie, but I lied to myself saying I would cut it into pieces and use it for treats HA.  
I must say I did get in the recommend amount of water yesterday, now I feel rather bloated (I am sure the pie might have something to do with this as well). SO
Today is a new day
Water
Stick to the meal plan
Some form of exercise, before starting the invitations and a birthday card tonight.

May 16

Well guess I didn't post the last 6 days.  I really didn't make progress either.
Hubby is leaving for Fort McMurry tonight, so I will hopefully get a menu and exercise plan together.  The dog is on new medication so he might be up for after work walks again.  I have to get the wedding invitations done, that is stressing me out. Then I crave sugar. Let you know what the menu and exercise plan is a little later this week.

oops, didn't post on Saturday

well, still no exercise, slept in and then worked on the wedding invitations.  I had to make a trip to the scrapbook store. then I cut and scored cards all night

Tuesday: things went a little haywire on the weekend, along with an emergency vet visit for MacLeod.  He fell off the bed and injured his front right leg.  He is on pain killers at the moment and I am hoping recovering.  His enzymes were a bit elevated and at his age that can mean many things, so no anti inflammatory meds.  Then for Mother's Day supper, my Mom, sister, her son, my son and her son's inlaws went for dinner at Swiss Chalet.
Monday I was able to walk at lunch and then print off more pieces of the wedding invitations.  I had a card class in the evening.
Just got back from a short walk at lunch. Will do a drop in tag class after work, then head home to get more pieces of the wedding invitations done.  Time is running out Yikes!  Planning to get to longer walks as the weather stays nice. If I can start sleeping better, I might try to get up earlier and do a work out before heading off to work.

Day 2

Again no exercise, but did eat much better.  Hubby is going out of town for a couple of days.  Tonight I have no excuse not to get in some exercises.  I did mention I AM LAZY.  I WILL do this!
I wonder why it is so hard to motivate myself for exercise, I feel so good after I get into a routine.  I liked it so much better when the treadmill was up stair, not down in the dark damp basement.  At least then I would get on it to walk while watching TV. I can still do that only have to do it down stairs.


Today I will not put off what I can do today til tomorrow (that means exercise)

Still working on the menu, it is getting there. Does anyone want me to post the menu?

Day 1

Well, I didn't get the exercise in, kind of angry at myself for that, but today is another day.  Well I shouldn't say no exercise, I did go for a 15 minute walk at lunch.

Did not track my food, this has always been trouble for me as since I cook it or hubby cooks it, I then have to enter a recipe and calculate calories.
Pretty sure the 2 cinnamon buns wasn't in the meal plan. Fail to plan plan to fail...............

This morning weighed myself, well that was a shocker 143lb ack!!!!!!  Today will be a better day!  Have my clean eating magazines here at work, going to make a 14 day meal plan. Take stock of the groceries at home tonight. Get some prep work and cooking done on the weekend, after getting the wedding invitations preped as well.
Goals for today
get in 30 minutes of exercise
eat 3 well balance meals

New Chapter

I am starting this blog for myself, but feel free to follow me and send me encouragement.
I am almost 51 and starting to feel my age. Actually older than I am. I have for a number of years trying but not really trying to get fit and eat healthier. Today I am going to start over again.  I thought maybe if I try to blog about it daily it would help. Here is the To Do List

Eat Clean -  The Eat Clean Diet

Work out daily use either The Biggest Loser for Xbox or something else for the Wii ( if I can get it set up)
  I also own dozens of dvd, so I have no excuse

Track my food with a food journal.  I will likely use the one at Sparkpeople.com, unless I can figure something else out to help with the making of my own meals with the clean eating guidelines.

I own apps, DVD and "games" I have no excuse, except I am lazy, organizational challenged and get depressed easily.
